Responsibilities

Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and update online safety portals, surveys, and client-requested safety records to verify compliance.
  • Compile accident data from HR to update the company OSHA log on a quarterly basis, as well as distribute finalized OSHA logs from the previous year for district offices to publicly post.
  • Actively participate in new employee training classes to engage and equip new employees with pertinent safety knowledge (ladders, PPE usage, etc.)
  • Assist in assessing training needs and developing content to address these needs.
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations to verify completion of training and measure comprehension.
  • Actively participate in internal safety committee meetings.
  • Understand and keep abreast of federal and state safety requirements in the companies’ footprint.
  • Assist with internal communications (including emails, newsletters, and other internal communications) to keep employees informed about safety.
  • Maintain and edit the company safety manual to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and client requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to district offices or client venues to assist with training delivery, needs analysis, job hazard assessments, or other related fact-finding.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to reduce workplace injuries and improve safety protocols. This may include finding and testing alternate PPE or techniques to accomplish existing Rose tasks more safely.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members from District Management, Education & Training, Quality Assurance, Technical departments, and Communications/Marketing.
  • Exemplify Rose Pest Solutions' philosophy and culture.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in pest management or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience designing and delivering training content preferred.
  • Relevant experience understanding OSHA standards and how they apply to a largely remote workforce.

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds (to demonstrate how to properly set up a ladder and use other equipment).
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, crouch.
  • Ability to periodically drive to remote district office locations.
